Slowpo.ke Swiss
Learn how to use Slowpo.ke to host your casual Pokémon TCG tournaments with Slowpo.ke Swiss mode.
Before starting
Slowpo.ke Swiss mode enables you to host Pokémon TCG tournaments entirely within Slowpo.ke, ideal for casual events or Gym Leader Challenges.
In this mode, players are optimally paired based on their results and can't be paired against the same opponent twice. It supports 4-64 players but does not accommodate multiple age divisions or a top cut.
In Slowpo.ke Swiss mode, standings are calculated according to the same rules as the Play! Pokémon Tournament Rules Handbook.
Note: This mode is not suitable for official tournaments, as Pokémon's TOM (Tournament Operations Software) is required. However, you can use TOM mode to display pairings and standings in Slowpo.ke.
Creating a tournament
When creating a tournament it is important to select the option "Slowpo.ke Swiss".
Registering players
You can only register players before your tournament has started.
Go to your tournament panel and select "Registration". There you can add up to 64 players to your tournament. Players must have unique names in this mode.
Running the tournament
After starting your tournament, you may enter the results of the newly generated round. Once all the results have been entered, you may advance to the next round. You can also revert a round to go back to the previous one.
Slowpo.ke will automatically pair players every round based on their tournament records and calculate standings after every round.
Before starting the tournament, you will be shown the recommended amount of rounds for the number of players in your tournament and the maximum amount of rounds.
If players drop during your tournament, the maximum amount of rounds may become lower if no viable pairings can be made.
Entering results
In your tournament panel, go to "Pairings". If a round is in progress, you will be able to see checkboxes under the pairings.
Clicking on a box under a player will mark that player as the winner of that match. Clicking the box under the table number will mark the match as a tie. You can change a result by clicking on another checkbox or by clicking on the selected checkbox to unselect it.
You can only enter results for a round that's in progress. Byes will be automatically marked.
Starting a next round
To go to your next round, first enter the results for each match a round. Then click on "End round" in your tournament panel.
Once you end your round, standings will be calculated and you can drop players before going into the next round.
To start the next round, click on "Start next round" in your tournament panel.
Reopening a round
If you are inbetween rounds, you can go to your previous round by clicking "Reopen previous round" under "Actions" in your tournament panel.
If you are in an active round and you want to revert to the previous round, click on "Revert round" under "Actions" in your tournament panel.
Note: Reverting a round will delete it and your pairings may change the next time you roll a new round.
Dropping players
Players can only be dropped inbetween rounds. You can do this by clicking on the edit icon next to a player in the standings and clicking on "Drop player".
Before going into your next round, you can still undrop a player. A player cannot rejoin the tournament once a round has passed after the player was dropped.
